About Me

As a postgraduate in history, years spent reading, writing and exploring the past have blurred the lines between observer and subject. It no longer feels external- but immersive. History is often dismissed as a dull procession of dates and events but to me it felt like art in motion- civilisations breathing and distant worlds coming to life.
I loved reading fiction but soon history took its place - offering worlds that felt imaginatively fictional yet being the most uncompromisingly non fictional of all.

Between the fiction and a devotion to the past this blog found its place - as a space to share the love for history with all. Writing History feels like an art of translation between the past and present, archive and the reader and to make the past feel intelligible but felt. This blog is not merely about memorizing facts but about understanding how the past continues to echo through present.
